About the Conference
The Wyoming Distance Education Consortia (WyDEC) proudly announces the 8th Annual WyDEC Distance Education Conference. The 2008 conference is supported by the Wyoming Community College Commission and each year is hosted by one of the seven Wyoming Community Colleges. This year's conference will be hosted by Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The event has a tradition of sharing innovative ideas and practices for enhancing teaching and learning at a distance as well as uses of emerging technologies that support traditional campus-based courses.
This year we are partnering with the Wyoming Workforce Development to exhibit the evolving collaborative efforts of Wyoming Distance Education and Wyoming Workforce Development.
Join us for this exciting professional development opportunity May 19-21.
Conference objectives:
- Build a strong, global workforce for Wyoming
- Coordinate synergy between Wyoming Distance Education and Wyoming Workforce Development
- Contribute to innovative practices in Distance Education and Workforce Development
- Examine key elements of best practices in teaching and learning at a distance
- Share information about new and emerging learning technologies
- Discuss current trends and developments in Distance Education
- Facilitate networking opportunities

- Apr 17: Request for Presentations closes
- Apr 12: Vendor/Sponsor Application closes
- May 1: Early registration ends
- May 16: Website registration ends—you can still just "show up" and register!
